Dr. Anna Terwiel is Associate Professor of Political Science at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She also co-directs Trinity’s Prison Education Project (TPEP), which offers credit-bearing courses to people incarcerated at York Correctional Institution and Hartford Correctional Center. Her research, which combines political theory, feminist theory, and carceral studies, has been published in the journals Political Theory, Polity, Theory & Event, and New Political Science. Dr. Terwiel’s book, Prison Abolition for Realists, has recently appeared with University of Minnesota Press.
